Trying this clay mask once a week on my face and loving the way it feels!

Wondering how in the world Briar is already 18 months old??

Going to bed earlier these days and reading books instead of scrolling through my phone to go to sleep. I’m finding that I fall into a deeper sleep much faster and stay that way for much longer than I have in years!

Speaking of reading, I’ve been on a major autobiography kick. I wrapped up Mindy Kaling’s latest book on Friday night and am almost done with Drew Barrymore’s book as of last night. They are both fun and fascinating reads that I highly recommend! What should I read next?

Googling “WHERE IS EL NIÑO” because seriously, 90 degree weather in February is my own personal hell.

Wanting to add so many Baby Gap pieces to Briar’s ever-growing toddler wardrobe: this tutu dress, these polka dot denim shorts, and of course, this watermelon swimsuit!

Ordering green tea lemonades these days (thank you, Starbucks drive-thru) and really loving them. What’s your favorite cold beverage that you order from coffee shops?

Feeling pretty jazzed about the number one spot on this list (what??)!

Wondering about which milk is best / safest for you and your family? Read my friend (and registered dietitian) Heather’s posts on the topic (part one and part two). So informative!

Wanting to make rope coil baskets for my little family to use for Easter, but I may just break down and buy these super cute baskets instead. To DIY or not to DIY…

Digging all of the one dollar journaling card printables from Push Print Studio! Such an awesome concept.

Marveling at the fact that it’s 9:30 am and Briar is still sleeping! This is my dream come true.

Hoping to find a little time to play with paper today! I’ve got the itch again.

Working on the occasional design project and really enjoying myself. It’s fun to step away for awhile and revisit graphic design with new eyes.

Feeling so grateful for a new year to start fresh and make things happen! My word for 2016 is ACTION.

Loving loving loving the One Second Everyday app! I’ve been wanting to do something like this for a long time, so to find an app that pieces it all together for me? Perfect! Here’s the first eleven days worth of memories.

Laughing so hard at the Bitch Sesh podcast, hosted by my favorite, Casey Wilson. If you are an unabashed Real Housewives fan, you need to listen to this podcast stat. You will die!

Watching Superstore with John and really enjoying it!

Taking lots of bright sunlight pics with my 50mm lens, thanks to my new (and super affordable!) neutral density filters. Before these, I couldn’t use my 50 without all of the images overexposing.

Eating more than my fair share of edamame nuggets from Trader Joe’s. I mean, I feel like if you have to have a nugget, it might as well be of the edamame variety instead of mystery meat, right? You can find them in the frozen section ;)

Trying to get over a bad cold that has rendered me voiceless, which means going through the Starbucks drive-thru before naptime is a no-go! Gah!

Using my new Minc Foil Applicator to add gold foil to EVERYTHING IN SIGHT! My first project was a calendar, but I’ve quickly moved on to making journaling cards for my (loose) Project Life-style scrapbook that I’m putting together this year.

Wearing my new colorful coat from Anthro that I scored on super clearance with an additional 25% off. I mean, these kinds of deals do not happen nearly enough! (P.S. you can still take advantage of the super sale with the code TAGTIME)

Going through stick after stick of Burt’s Bee’s lip crayons! They’re moisturizing and they add just the right amount of color.

Wanting to book another trip to the PNW rightthissecond after seeing our honeymoon in the Spring issue of The Knot. Or maybe we should just move there?

Reconnecting with my favorite fellow crafters at CHA this past weekend…so much fun!

Reading Mindy Kaling’s newest book and really enjoying it! Next up: Drew Barrymore’s book!

Finding it nearly impossible to resist Baby Gap sales. I just picked up a cream colored pompom beanie, holiday jammies, multi-colored mittens, and my most favorite, gold heart leggings! Briar’s wardrobe is a million times more stylish than mine, that’s for sure.

Listening to this song on repeat.

Eating leftovers for every meal. No complaints.

Rocking these black Nike shoes with my leggings. I always feel like I either sacrifice comfort for style or vice versa when it comes to footwear + leggings, but these do both! I’m excited to wear them out while Christmas shopping or visiting Disneyland!

Wanting to make an advent calendar for my little family but thinking that this colorful version from Target might be better than anything I could DIY.

Wearing this lovely pale pink lipstick daily. Not only is it the perfect shade for everyday wear but the packaging is top notch!

Feeling so thankful for my friends.

Enjoying my new short hair! I may not be able to wear my signature top knot anymore but it feels AMAZING to have a new style.

Digging this song still (SO OVERPLAYED, I KNOW), especially the Sam Smith cover! It reminds me of Drake’s other song from two years ago when John and I heard it everywhere we went on our honeymoon. Happy memories :)

Editing photos from the cutest grandparents + grandkids shoot! Can’t wait to share more!

Thinking that this faux-fur collared dress would be the perfect Christmas outfit for Briar!

Offering 25% off everything in my shop now through Wednesday. Use code CYBERMONDAY.

Loving Snapchat. Really, really loving it.

Listening to Gretchen Rubin’s podcast episode about rebels (my tendency in her Four Tendencies framework) and nodding my head repeatedly! Have you guys taken the quiz? Which tendency are you?

Hoping that these books might show up under my tree: Wildflower, Rising Strong, and Yes Please.

Announcing the Kohl’s gift card winner in the post below!

Looking forward to taking Briar to Kidspace again in the near future! We had a great time exploring the museum on Saturday.

Agreeing with every bit of this quote from Hannah Brencher: “You don’t read the last page and then decide if it is worth the meat in the middle. You draw breaths in and out. You crawl away from the sheets too early in the morning. You send emails. You fall in love. You put gas in your car. You learn names. You do plenty of things you don’t want to do. You dance. You sometimes overstay your welcome and drink too much wine. You eat tacos. Too much queso. You wonder if you can subsist on chips and salsa alone for the rest of your life. You call home. You slam doors. You let people in.”

Discovering that Gabby Bernstein has a podcast and downloading every single episode as fast as possible! Oh em gee, I’m obsessed. Other podcasts I’m enjoying: The Party Podcast and Matrimoney.

Working on Briar’s Halloween costume with John (there’s nothing quite like the last minute!).

Loving Snapchat! I was such a grandma about it for longest time (“how does this contraption work?”), but once I figured it out, I was hooked! You can follow me at @annmarieloves!

Speaking of Halloween, I seriously LOL’d over this Buzzfeed article. I hope that my kids have quirky taste in costumes!

Feeling extra competitive when it comes to workweek challenges with friends on Fitbit! I love the extra boost of motivation that comes from wanting to have the highest step count for the week.

Sneaking in episodes of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt in between endless replays of The Aristocats (a certain fourteen month old is obsessed) and liking it!

Starting to do a little Christmas shopping for my favorite tiny person. I’m mainly focusing on clothes (these jammies and these kitty ballet slippers!), big toys that will help her burn off some of that boundless energy (this activity gym or this play kitchen), and I’m hoping that my dad just might build her a toddler bed! ;)

Feeling like I could have written this post, right down to the title. It’s been a weird and rocky year for me but I’m working on it.

Realizing that this may be a little TMI, but you guys…I just bought new bras for myself (FINALLY) and they are life-changing. My body is not what it was pre-baby and it’s time that I start embracing that!

Taking Briar to Gymboree several times a week and really enjoying it! I love watching her run and climb and interact with other babies her own age. Plus she’s learning how to put toys away, so there’s that.

Checking off two years of marriage this past Monday.

Wanting to make homemade crayons in the shape of letters using these silicone trays I especially love the blended look of this DIY!

Going to therapy for the first time in my life and really digging it. I secretly have a desire to become a therapist in my next life.

Working out as often as possible, whether it be in the form of a Zumba class or a long walk. Exercise is everything.

Feeling grateful that cooler weather is kind of, sort of (?) happening here in Southern California. I am so ready to eat some soup and wear some socks.

Reveling in all the joy + beauty that took place this past weekend at Janelle + Kyle’s wedding! (I mean, seriously, LOOK AT THIS BRIDE). I was so honored to be a part of it and can’t wait to see the photos + video roll in!

Wearing my new sunglasses and feeling an extra pep in my step. I love new sunglasses.

Laughing at Briar’s two new tricks: kissing on command (she really loves smooching babies!) and bumping her sippy cup against my glass when I say “cheers!” Ahhh, it’s the best.

Using more than my fair share of this amazing (and cheap!) dry shampoo on the daily. Oily hair, be gone!

Deciding that this is the season that I will learn a few new recipes! This chicken enchilada soup and these blueberry muffins are really calling my name.

Getting excited to order new books from Elizabeth Gilbert and Brene Brown, just as soon as I finish up my current favorite read.

Living for the Call Your Girlfriend podcast. I know I mentioned it last month, but I still can’t get enough! It’s smart and funny and it reminds me of the relationship I have with my own girlfriends.

Trying to find a decent pair of shoes for my tiny-footed toddler. She wears a size 2 and I’m realizing it’s almost impossible to track down that size anywhere! Moms, any suggestions?

Enjoying the heck out of this interview. Also enjoying the heck out of her podcast!

Stocking up on cold weather clothes for Briar (even though it’s still a million degree out) and am so excited to see her wear this kitty cat shirt (she picked it out!) and this heather gray one piece.

Wanting to order a new Fitbit band, but can’t decide between this floral number or a solid color

Listening to Christmas music while I type this post, despite the fact that it’s 91 degrees outside, the A/C is running, and it may or may not be socially acceptable to admit such things. (P.S. What’s your favorite Christmas song? Mine is “The Christmas Song” by Nat King Cole.)

Speaking of Christmas, I can’t wait to start designing some fun holiday-related paper goods. Stay tuned ;)

As of Late | Ann-Marie Loves | Card by Goldpress Paper

Wanting to frame this adorable hand-lettered card from Goldpress Paper!

Feeling incredibly grateful for my health after a bout with food poisoning last week. Also, it makes me think I may not be THAT ready for first trimester nausea again ;)

Reading The Year of Magical Thinking after renewing my library card on Monday. So far, I really like it!

Listening to The Momo Show nonstop. Also! I have a title for my future podcast series. I’ve told a few people about it already and I’m excited to get the wheels in motion.

Walking now more than ever thanks to the encouragement of my new Fitbit! Late night laps around the house to reach 10k steps is a daily occurrence.

Eagerly awaiting the end of summer (not until late October for Southern California), but still trying to enjoy “summery” moments: feeling the A/C on my face as I shower, having so many hours of daylight to shoot photos, taking Briar swimming…I guess summer’s not that bad. Actually, yes it is.

Rewatching Parenthood and feeling all the emotions on a deeper level now that I’ve been at this parenting gig for a whole year.

Planning upcoming photo shoots and feeling total excitement, which is how creative projects should always feel!

Loving everything ban.do at the moment! I seriously love my new Florabunda planner (I FEEL SO ORGANIZED!) and the watermelon cooler bag that I turned into Briar’s new diaper bag. Give me all the kitsch.

Reveling in happy memories from the bridal shower that we threw for my dear friend Janelle last Saturday. I’m beyond excited for her big day.

Thinking ahead to the holidays! We have a few good Halloween costume ideas up our sleeves. Let’s see if we can execute them before October 31st at 4pm…

Loving Elise’s Get to Work Book videos. I love to get inside the minds of super organized + efficient people.

Treating myself to iced coffees from the Starbucks drive-thru every few days. Yes, I could totally save money by making my own iced coffee at home, but there’s nothing quite like somebody handing me my drink through the window of my air-conditioned car. Also, it keeps Briar contained for five minutes and that is NO SMALL FEAT.

Hearing good things about this book and adding it to my wish list.

Living by this quote from Danielle LaPorte: “Focus on the energy of the solution.” BOOM.

Serious Sally on the Fourth of July – ha!

Spending many an afternoon in my parents’ pool with my little fish. My “mom” bathing suit sure is getting a lot of good use!

Enjoying weekly e-mails from Hannah Brencher. She is killing it with the inspiration vibes.

Loving Hey Claire’s YouTube channel. Even though I’m not much for makeup tutorials, I love her storytelling abilities and her clean aesthetic. (P.S. I made a cameo in Amy’s video!)

Wearing one of two outfits most days: this neon pink workout top with leggings or any shirt with my Anthro lounge pants. I’m a work at home mom, guys. Comfort is KING.

Feeling more tired now than I was when Briar was a newborn; the only difference is I’ve become much more adept at pushing through the exhaustion! She’s still waking up 1-2 times a night (LORD BEER ME STRENGTH), so it’s safe to say I haven’t had a full night of sleep in almost a year. Oh em gee.

Listening to Totally Mommy nonstop. It’s my new podcast jam.

Dreaming of taking Briar on a bike ride…while protecting her noggin with this watermelon helmet!

Combing Pinterest and Instagram for birthday party ideas. I can never get enough!

Craving a really good fictional read that I can get lost in. Any suggestions?

Feeling so grateful to all of you who have purchased my new (and old!) digital stamps. It’s so fun to think that my designs are continuing to live on!

Enjoying golden hour walks with my best gal and my iPhone close at hand so I can capture all the gorgeous flowers in bloom!

Thinking back on this time last year when I was “willing” Briar to make her appearance on dates that I thought would make for pretty-sounding birthdays: July 14th, July 22nd, or her due date, July 26th. Of course, she didn’t arrive until AUGUST 8TH, but now I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Scouting out amazing photo locations for future shoots. If you or anyone you know is in need of a photographer, send me an e-mail! :)

Banana romper for the win!

Writing in my journal again and feeling clarity about the things I want for my life.

Wearing these clearanced Anthro pants, um, everyday? They’re so comfy!

Dreaming up Briar’s first birthday party. (I can’t even believe it’s already that time…!)

Catching up on the Real Housewives of New York. Because these are the kinds of things that I do with my life.

Writing out a summer bucket list.

Planning on spending this summer in the pool. Not only am I obsessed with the way Briar looks in her cute swimsuits, but the combination of the water and the sun knocks her out for almost a full night of sleep! My least favorite season just might become my new favorite ;)

Making my own iced coffee (recipe this week!) and drinking it whenever I need an afternoon pick me up. It is WONDERFUL.

Going for daily walks at golden hour and taking photos of all the flowers glowing at sunset. It’s sort of my new thing.

Listening to Atomic Moms, Jonathan Foust, and Totally Mommy / Totally Married these days. Having several episodes of new-to-me podcasts in my queue is kind of my dream come true.

Feeling so grateful that Briar survived her first (and hopefully last!) double ear infection. She’s been sick a handful of times in her short ten months, but never with high fevers and zero energy. My poor baby.

Wearing my Birks again this summer and feeling so grateful that a.) they got me through the swollen feet phase of pregnancy (the only shoes I could wear!), b.) they are comfortable as HECK, and c.) they are miraculously still in style. I’m a Birks believer.

Switching up the furniture arrangement in our bedroom and feeling new energy flowing through.

Embracing this idea from The Alison Show! Such a smart workaround for getting out of your own way.

Crafting almost every single day. It feels good to be back!

Looking forward to the launch of U-Jam classes at my gym next week! Has anyone tried it before?

Planning a certain baby’s first birthday and excitedly making a wish list for her. I’m thinking a water table and a push cart are in order!

Going out once a week on a date night with my husband and feeling like it’s exactly what we needed for our marriage. Having a third person in our mix is the best thing ever, but sometimes we need to leave Briar with the grandparents for an evening so we can reconnect.

Pumping up my blonde (read: invisible) eyebrows with this and loving how pulled together it makes me feel! I may be late to the game but I’m so happy to be here ;)

Contemplating the idea of chopping my hair….TBD.

Bingeing on the Kardashians because I can’t seem to look away!

Reading The Happy Sleeper and already learning a ton of tricks for getting my daughter to sleep through the night. Remember when I said she could put away 9-10 hour stretches? Yeah. Totally jinxed myself.

Enjoying nine month old Briar. She’s so much fun these days.

Feeling so honored to be featured (in illustration-form, no less!) on Lovely Indeed, with my Briar Bear. Such a treat.

Listening to the Good Life Project podcast on repeat. Incredibly inspiring.

Thinking about deleting my e-mail from my phone. I could really use more space AND less distraction.

Noticing how many cute maternity clothes are out right now! I have zero plans of getting pregnant again anytime soon, but I am tempted to stock up on striped dresses for the next go ’round!

Savoring these last few weeks of cool weather since I know it won’t be back until November. #sweaterweatherplease

Gorgeous florals by The Design Hunters.

Reflecting back on such a fun Saturday night spent dancing myself silly at a family wedding. I have absolutely no shame. NONE.

Marveling with amazement (and terror) at my baby who army crawls all over the place. Baby proofing is now in full-effect!

Watching the season premieres of Veep and Silicon Valley on HBO GO. Cable, what’s that?

Listening to episode after episode of The Girl Next Door podcast. I think “shoot the breeze-style” pods (new abbrev) are my favorite style of pod. P.S. A list of my favorite shows!

Learning so much (and laughing so much) from Laura Miller! I discovered her show Raw. Vegan. Not Gross. on Tastemade and can’t get enough of her quirky yet approachable take on healthy eating.

Raising my glass to this Truthbomb.

Pulling the trigger on a brand new camera…! A big mama one…! No turning back now.

Enjoying the longer stretches of sleep I’m getting at night! I’m sure that I’m jinxing this, but Briar seems to have turned a corner with all the new solid foods in her diet. Girl can suddenly put away 9-10 hours a night! (insert all the prayer hand emojis!)

Loving three recent purchases from Target: reusable silicone squeeze pouches for Miss Briar “don’t even try to feed me with a spoon” Espinoza, Happy Yogis yogurt + fruit snacks (Briar and I share them!), and this banana print baby romper that just about made my life.

Ordering a bunch of prints and revisiting an old friend: scrapbooking.

Feeling pleased as punch with my new favorite nail polish color (currently adorning my fingernails).

Wanting to try this strawberry basil farro salad. (And then follow it up with key lime bars!)

Wearing this black jumpsuit every other day (or is it everyday?). It’s so comfy AND it’s nursing friendly. All the things that I care about in my life.

Looking forward to a trip down to San Diego this weekend! It’s been way too long and I’m way too excited.

Working on my photography website as well as dreaming up a baby / kids-related shop (think prints, invitations, decor, and more!) that will debut shortly. Yay for new adventures!
